The Tampa FL Luxury Home market has continued to struggle. The amount of $1M Homes sold in December 2008 compared to January 2009 fell by nearly 28%. This trend is likely to continue into the next few months due to market conditions. Inventory of Luxury homes continues to rise with 369 $1M+ listings in January compared to 256 in December last year.

In january 2009 978 single family units were sold in Tampa, St Petersburg and Clearwater areas compared to 1348 in December. The January 09 Tampa Bay median 3 bedroom home price dropped to $127,238 from $140,000 in December last year.
Single family inventory increased from 5018 to 7747 listings.
